Meet our team
Kelly Hounsell
As the Founder and Director at H Litigation, Kelly practises in commercial litigation, insolvency, and dispute resolution. Admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2013, Kelly brings extensive experience acting on behalf of insolvency practitioners, businesses of any size, and individual clients.
Kelly’s background includes representing liquidators in public examinations and voidable transaction recovery, advising shareholders and directors in disputes, and handling matters concerning restraints of trade, debt recovery, breach of contract, and negligence claims. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Bond University.
Kirra Lei
Joining H Litigation from its inception, Kirra applies her legal research, drafting, and process skills to support our firm’s legal services and operations. Kirra graduated from QUT with a double degree in Law and Justice in July 2023.
Prior to this, Kirra gained five years of junior-level experience, from receptionist to law clerk, at various general law firms. Kirra is passionate about pursuing a career in law, particularly in insolvency, corporate, and commercial law, and is eager to contribute to our firm’s mission of providing agile, innovative, and client-focused legal solutions.
